well pinch what did you ask  for in your face hops ? you got it ,the aromas from the 4 hops really blend well together i think the beer will need say 2 weeks to level of and blend with the sweet malts (i used maris otter and viena at 50/50 %

i think its its only right to call the new beer after my good friend pinch because of his amazing knowledge of American hops  and after all we spent a good time that Saturday afternoon talking about these amazing American  hops and the flavors  we can obtain from them (dont worry pinch they are the most expensive hops in the world but im paying for them not you lol  )so the name will have you in it (your round my mate ) regards  john  p.s the release date for this brew looks like   7th October so please landlords get your order in there is only going to be 80 casks

the latest  news from hart brewery i had a nice phone call from the band on saturday afternoon(on way home from there blackpool gig) to meet them in the cartford for dinner .great to drink with the boys again and out of it came a new idea pinch and i got talking about hops (we want to get out more ) and his interest and knowledge  in american dwarf hops and the intense flavours and aromas that can come from them  so we put the foundations down for an american ipa to be available a month or so before the American tour (in bottle and cask) the pictures from our day out will be on site latter this week please stay posted for the latest info .

it was also nice to see the reaction about the new  look cartford (i warned the captain that things have changed some what )but in the end the lads had a great day and was not to happy to leave for there gig that night in northampton

looks like another local for fans of hart brewery beers i have been talking to garry the landlord today looks like we will be putting squirrels in next week as he says his customers like the traditional ales so i hope you all get down there and make him think these beers are selling well ill order more …………..smithy 1/12/08

i does not seen appropriate after the last blog on levi that i write this…….but

a few people have asked what has happened to big al a.k.a diamond geeza as i have been taking over his spot for a while ,Marion his wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer and he has been involved with the swift recovery of her health ,after talking to her on friday she seems to be the same marion we know and love

they are just not know for there knowledge  and love  of real ale locally they are world travelers  in searching out the best beers thats why alan is my brewery liaison officer,  all the best from everybody in the trade and camra we wish you a speedy recovery

even through alans tough  times he  still had time for  my friday night reports  so he would have the latest information  at hand

this weekend i have been working on the recipe im looking for a dark full bodied beer the way we remember him ,hops bodasia (a hop i have not used before ) so my customers will be in for a treat as i don’t make dark beers apart from val (addiction) .

i also have been working with my web site master to get the perfect song and vidios to remember him by the video in the wheel chair in his last days says it all (we lost a monster of a big man a great friend of mine the same way r.i.p peter crangle the leeds united psychopath) .

why do we go through life to end up like this ?his is not a practice run (this is it) hope i go out with the pride and respect you had in your last days

today we found out that the great Levi stubbs has died of cancer as a great writer of the worlds most powerful love songs i am dedicating a new beer for levi ill post more in the morning and a video of i believe (in you and me) accompanied with another video by billy Bragg that just says everything of the great man god bless Levi for the lovely candle lite dinners i have had with your songs as a back drop to accompany my wine and food for years

does stan know were in a resesion he has ordered 11 guest beers from us this week ,,

i got a call from stan this week we have a treat for you (i hope) he has ordered 3 .18 gallon casks of ice maiden and dropped the boddingtons the ice maiden will be at the same price of bods so if you want to drink class ale at i think he said £2.10 per pint get down to big stans

this is a trial hope we get your support
